Subjectively True is a film production company founded by writer and director Ryan Malloy in Seattle, WA.

Ryan’s work often explores themes of power, responsibility, and the unseen systems that shape human behavior. Originally trained in documentary storytelling, he brings the same curiosity and attention to detail to his narrative work.

He has experience in both production and post-production across documentary, narrative, and branded formats. His short films have screened at festivals around the world and received multiple awards.

Ryan holds degrees from Wesleyan University, the University of Michigan (M.A. in Urban Planning), and Stanford University, where he earned his M.F.A. in Documentary Film and Video.
